Any observations on the Alpinestar adventure jacket ?

Suprised they called it an Adventure jacket as it doesnt appear to have adventurous styling...
Looks like the waterproofing is in the liner not the shell from whats written on the website.
 
Saw these in GW's recently. I think that for £250 you can't go that far wrong although for the same money you'd get something in the Hein Gericke sale at the mo too.
I'd note what IainMac says though - this'll be like a Rallye jacket or most Rev'It jackets in that it'll soak up the water on the outer layer but stop it with the liner. That's fine if you're mostly riding in warm, if wet, weather but you may want to think twice about that system here if you're planning an all-year-round jacket - you end up with sopping, heavy material pressing down in the wind and it's silly cold.
