any one got a r1200r?

I've had one,& an 1100 & 1150 and would have another over a GS (for the road) & I've had 2 GS's , as far as road riding is concerned anyway.

Front wheel is more 'planted' I think due to the 17" wheel - therefore better rubber & shorter suspension throw.

Wind blast is OK, no prob for me @ 5'11'... just. They need a screen of some sort, but even a small one is fine up to 80mph.

I'm currently using a new K1300s, but as a S/h bike they are an unsung hero IMHO, almost GS abilities (let's face it how many % ever go off road) but IMO better on road if you get past the GS kudos/marketing.

Had an 1150 R, which as stated was a lovely road bike, very easy to ride, I had a small o/e screen which i swapped for a larger Givi screen but actually reverted back to the smaller one, never had any big buffeting proplems at all .... I am 6'2" tall.

I agree that it is a cheaper and better road bike than the GS variant but Ewan and the crew never used one so the marketing boys win :D
