Having a bit of a clear out and realise that I've been hanging on to my 2610 and 2620 for quite a long time now.

Any point in keeping them? As the last one to sell on ebay sold for £1.14 I guess not.

If anyone would want one or both for spares then let me know promptly before they head to the recycling centre.

They will still work using free maps from Open Street Map.
Whilst this is true, I've superseded them with a Garmin i3, then a Navi, then a DriveLuxe, then a BMW Nav V, then VI, then using car nav and Android auto.

I will admit to going back to it temporarily with an external roof-mounted antenna back in 2021 when the GPS in my Skoda stopped working properly, but now I've also got a Garmin GLO 2 to save me should that problem ever occur again.

Whilst it will indeed still work, I can't see me ever bolting it to the bike again

Others might though. That was my point. And have a bump.

I abandoned mine in 2015 after the follow on trip to the one we did to Austria with Dodger. It was fine on a prepared route but got really upset when we hit a closed road in Burgundy and it had to make things up on the fly. That was using OSM data.
I bought a Zumo 390 which is still used and recently updated.
Wapping has just beaten me to suggesting the Chief Worrier of Yorkshire as a recipient.

If JB doesn’t want them, I’ll have them.

They can sit alongside my Quest (also via the forum) as a reminder of happy (more basic) days.

My gut was telling me to take them to the tip so they've sort of been bundled into bags... I'll see if I can un-bundle them.

Both dragged out of recycling. Powering them up to ensure they work.

Only got one car adapter and one for 12V connection direct.

2610 has UK maps (well out of date), 2620 has US maps (ditto).

They still work fine. I still have a 2610 which is used as a curio and used to check if OSM maps I have created work with it. One of the features they have which I wish modern Zumo XT's had is the ability with three sliders to alter the routing algorithms of the unit. The Zumo XT routing algorithm sucks a bit and can only be changed using "adventurous routing".

And the ability to mark roads as impassable so it'll roure a different way.

@Wapping & @JohnnyBoxer I've not forgotten, and the units have been fired up and are working, but I'm going to hold off sending until I can see if I've got the other in-car power lead. It might be in a box at the back of the garage, but we are decorating at the moment and dragging stuff out of the garage to search isn't top priority right now.
