Hello,
Folk in this section who know me, will attest to the fact that I'm no technical guru. I know which way a bike should point.
Unless you need a thorough professional service, a general oil & filters change, with spark plugs thrown in is relatively easy, that even I can do it. The only tricky bit in my book is checking valve clearances and I'm told that's not too difficult. (I have done it before but I've got to find my feeler gauges)
You can buy a service kit and the relevant oils from motobins.co.uk if you don't have an Irish supplier. You'll just need a note of fluid volumes for your bike and you're away! The added point to this, is getting down and dirty with your bike, you get to know it a bit better each time.
The Irish contingent on here seem a more than helpful bunch, that one of them will probably offer to take you through the process for the price of a few beers.
Good luck in getting it sorted!
