Any simple way to use ACF50 in the winter

Anyone got any tips as to how to use ACF50 during the winter.

All my hand type spray bottles deliver it in big blobs rather than a spray

Tried keeping ACF50 warm in a jug of hot water prior to use but still not right .........

Get a clean paint brush. Warm the can and spray in into a warm jeely jaur. Paint it on.
 
I hand wipe or brush it onto the known vulnerable areas and spray the rest of the bike with FS365.
 
If you are trigger spraying you could thin it with some white spirit. But it might be your sprayer is clogged. They don't seem to cope with congealed ACF in the works. Working with warmed ACF is a good option. Drop the bottle in a bucket of hot water.
 
Yep - pay a professional like All Year Biker to do it. If you live anywhere near Manchester I can recommend someone.

I paint it on nuts bolts washers fastens etc etc with an artists paint brush ... :thumb2

Been working with a bloke who can't do anything without tongue assist. A constant source of amusement.
 
Spray onto blue roll then wipe over by hand; then use a fine brush for bolt heads & fasteners :D

Will try 5% White Spirit and some warming to see where this leads

I know how it could be perceived as that. However, it includes a full valet of the bike (although not sold as such) which makes the bike look cleaner than the day I got it, then full treatment with the ACF-50. It’s about 4hrs altogether.

I’m particularly cack handed. I tried to do an ACF treatment myself last year and got the stuff everywhere. Rather than invest in all the gear to do it properly I’d rather pay a professional to do a proper job. Small price to pay for a once a year treatment in my opinion.

Agree with this - I had mine done yesterday. Took over three hours. The chap who did it didn't recommend the aerosols as he said it applied the ACF 50 too thick and that encouraged muck to stick to the bike (you might think he would say that having a vested interest in selling his service, but he is fully booked most of the Autumn and doesn't really need to bullshit)

As someone else pointed out to me, ACF50 can't be retrofitted after the corrosion has already started

I am coming to the conclusion that people who have modern motorcycles, are over complicateing things for themselves
