Gonzo. I am curious as to your run-in procedure. Did you adhere to the factory recommended limits? Your oil consumption sounds high to me. I am on my third oilhead and none have burned anywhere close to what yours is.

Yes I did follow the factory limits, not because I felt they were right, but because I hadn't read any of the related threads on the forum.

I've only done 300 miles since the dealer visit and am keeping a VERY close eye on consumption from now on. If a trend of high consumption develops I'll get it checked further.
