what's the problem? would say to be honest TV's are all evil and do not be sticking yer fingers in one cos they bite.

I was..

.. but that was 20+ years ago. Can't guarantee you an answer but will try.

I just got mine fixed - lcd flat screen, remote unit banjaxed - by a guy in Dundonald. Nice dude, works from his garage, in which there was plenty of tv's - a good sign - and it cost me 30 quid all in. I'll hoke out his number if you want

The problem started a good while back when you switched the TV on it would then sometimes switch back off then on again, this could happen maybe twice a week and sometimes would go on for over an hour til it switched on and stayed on. Left it back to the shop and they gave me a panasonic as a loaner for a week so he could test mine and it went ok not a fecking jot out of it so i got it back and it has been fine for about a year now but now it wont turn on at all unless you unplug it from the mains, turn everything on again and if the green light comes on it will start up if not yopu have to repeat this till you get a green light, now sometimes this can go ok after 1 or 2 attemps but i have seen me doing this up to 15 times to get the fecker working. Once started its great and the picture is superb. Only reason ive not changed it is that no matter what TV ive seen or had on loan this is a better picture. Even a £1600 panasonic i had out on loan with the choice of buying was not a clear. Its a Thomson 37" LCD and is about 4 years old and cost me £1400
