Hmm. Bike ('15 GSA) recently got blown over again and this time sustained some minor damage. Busted headlamp surround - no problem. The other issue is that the right hand windscreen support arm (part 7 below) has snapped. I've just been looking to see how I'm going to replace it once ordered but it looks like giving enough clearance to undo the torx screws (part 12) holding the "linear guide" (part 6 - metal bar in lower image below) in place is a bit of an issue. To do this it looks like the instrument cluster is going to have to come off to get the torx screws out (part 13) so I can get the screen adjuster off.

Has anyone done this before and hopefully know of an easier way to do it?? Any thoughts welcomed (y)

There's a YT video on how to do it.
I followed it and it was easy.

I've done it when I fitted the Puig ERS electric screen mech. It's not that difficult but for sure the TFT display needs to come off. You could also follow the YT guide to fitting ERS, it covers it too.

It can be done without taking off the headlight, but it's tricky. The second time I did it I took the headlight off and fitted the BMW OEM headlight protector at the same time.

If you do it, it would be a good idea to put some thin washers that have a greater diameter than the rubber grommet holes for the TFT mounts, this will stop the cir-clips from pulling out with the grommets so scrotes can't easily nick it by pulling. It may be unlikely but a small job just for the peace of mind.

Thanks for that - it's a pre TFT bike and I think the earlier cluster is only held on by one clip at the top and then the whole thing pulls away. I'll order some of the rubber mounts as suspect they may have worn a bit. I'm really hoping not to have to take the headlight off as that looks even more of a faff.
