So, I've got this new Bank Holiday off on 29th April.

There's no way I want to spend it watching some braying royal and his floozy get hitched. The roads will be quiet. The lanes even more so (hoping that the horsey lot will be watching the royal 'event').

Anyone fancy a lanes ride, starting from Stevenage/Hatfield/Hertford area (cos I haven't got a van or trailer to go further afield than that)?

I'll be on a pogo, but lanes round here are big bike do-able on knobbly tyres, unless it's been a dry week and it's dry on the day, in which case tourances and the like might be possible. (If it's that dry, I might even dig the airhead out.... :augie )

I'm probably not (no, make that definitely not) the best person to lead it (too slow :rob ), but I'll happily tail end :ymca for someone else and help plan a route.

Anyone interested?

Hi,

I'd forgotten about this thread until someone just reminded me :augie :blast .

As I mentioned above, I'm not really experienced enough, either as a rider or navigator, to lead a run, so I was hoping someone more experienced that me was going to step up and offer to help run it, and I could run as tail-end charlie. As no one stepped up, it faded from memory! I should have posted something up earlier.

I will be going green laning tomorrow, but I'm going with the Herts TRF as they have a run organised.

With that in mind, I'll close this thread.
