As a valued customer of John Clarks where I have bought my current GS plus numerous spares and clothing its odd I have to hear about an open day from Den.... I may pop down as I want some oil filters (and a burger...)

You'l probably get burgers, but the spares lot might have left for the day, unless they've been told to stay on this afternoon...

(I can't remember whether they'll be doing overtime this afternoon:confused:)

I was along at Clarkies yesterday

This weekend is to 'christen' the new bike showroom BEHIND the mini frontage.
To get there unlike moi go richt doon tae the boatam an ye'll get in there.
Went to get an oil filter and front pads for the GS. These are still supplied from the same place in the main building.
I was confronted with a bill for nearly 50 notes.
Luckily or otherwise I noted that young gent had only given me 2 pads.
On stating this observation there was a slight intake of breath from him.
Sleuth that I am ,I immediately asked 'was the bill for only two pads' 'yes' came the reply - 'cancel that flew back the retort. I'll give motobins a call'. :blast

Was there first thing. Had a go of an F800GS, interesting bike. Could consider one as a second bike.

I was told that there will be there normal demo weekend in May, this as was said in earlier post was to mark the opening of the new facility, and very nice it is too.

I can confirm that Den was there and was seen scoffing many a burger. :fnikefork
No as many as me 'tho !!!!!

Unfortunately, only one burger voucher per person. Had to have a cheese peece on my return home.

Had a go on a k1300r ....I think. The big ugly one without the fairing. Nice gearbox thingy, felt fast..ish, sounded like a hoover.
But only found comfort and contentment when I got back on the 1150 adventure. Still the best bike in the world.

A bit late in posting this but never mind...

Much better facilities now at JC's for bikes. I met Den, Schtum and Freeloader when I nipped in for a wee gander on Saturday. Free coffee and burgers: cannae be bad even if I didnae hae a burger (honest).

I was a wee bit disapointed in the clothing but then got telt that they're due the new range in and are trying to get rid of old stock the now. Lot's o' bikes though.

I also nipped into the adjacant Mini showroom as Frau Ronno fancies ane of the Clubman D's. They had a new specked-up ane in a shitty broon colour for £20k  I think I might pass...:augie
