Anybody know how to........

Derestrict a Yamaha pw80.
My mate wants me to do it for his sons bike, and the only thing I can find is a small collar in the exhaust just as it exits the engine.
I don't want to force it out if I'm wrong.

Anybody???

iirc there is a washer in the exhaust

Most likely just the exhaust but check the inlet rubber twixt carb and reed as there is sometimes a web in there as well. Once clear of these obstructions dont forget to check the jetting. It should be ok but sometimes may need the needle lifting a notch or two or maybe even the main jet changing.
