Anybody recognise this bike?

I have recently acquired this, does anybody recognise it? It's had 8 previous owners, one of which put a UK GSER sticker on it! I would like to find out a little more about it's previous history if anybody knows any? I've got the very recent history but prior to that is a mystery, the gearbox has been rebuilt and the 'fingerprints' on it may indicate who did it, I've got a good idea who. When was it given it's current livery? etc, etc!

I must confess to being a little surprised that after around 200 views nobody seems to have seen this bike, or knows anything about it, I think it may well have been hidden away for some time as it seems to have done about 40,000 miles according to the speedo's and general condition seems to back that up......................still interested though!
