Anybody using a givi outback 58 litre aluminium topbox?

Collected the box today- cracking bit of kit. It has the aluminium plate, (sra5108 I think is the code number), which I haven't fitted yet but it all seems like good quality stuff.
It's the first proper givi stuff I have had, apart from old plastic topboxes.

Tomorrow's job is to remove the metal BMW rack, refit the original one and nail the givi stuff on:thumb2

Cheers.

Anybody know the part number for the Ali plate required for a 2010 GS to fit one of these boxes or do I go for the plastic plate ?

I've just bought (and rekeyed) one for my LC. Be aware that if you are replacing a Vario you'll need one of these - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/322565816194 if you are using the adaptor kit SR5108. The underside of the metal plate hits the plastic Vario support - maybe the same for the SRA5108 aluminium plate?

BTW, the reason I went for the SR5108 is that it will take the full 10kg capacity of the Trekker, whereas the ally plate is restricted to 6kg.

Resurrecting an old thread here I know, but I’m just trying to get a mounting plate sorted for a 58l Outback Trekker on a 2018 GS 1200. I’m a bit confused about the ebay part mentioned, is this different to the standard one that is already fitted for the Vario box?
Thanks.

From memory you need the non-Vario plate - like this one - that one is a tad pricey, they do go for less.
