Just checked both pubs this evening Peter .... no room at the inns! I couldn't cancel Trickytree's room at The George and Dragon, wouldn't be right for me to do so. His missis hasn't been in touch with them .... but I informed them of his sad parting.

Me & eldest are hopefully heading south tomorrow (Thursday).

The weather forecast for the Dales & lakes area has slowly been improving for the coming weekend, so all things being equal we will be there tomorrow

Even if Trickytree's room was available we wouldn't be able to do that but I'm sure that someone else could if it was ever an option.
Our circumstances are a bit complicated at the moment so if we don't go it will be our loss ( in not meeting up with any of you lovely characters ) but I have to do whatever I think will cause the least overall stress

Than's Steve, will do..she was also looking at last minute flights to warmer climes for a few days but that's a whole different level of pampering altogether

Heading south today, if I get away on time I should be in the pub in Dent this evening, much to the barmaid's delight I'm sure

In between I'm enjoying a lovely glass of Red Shiraz, the house doors are wide open to a lovely evening and the blackbirds are singing their hearts out...I'm more relaxed than I expected so bring it on
