have sort out new transport so be biking it for while or else pack bikes in fully and pay car tax and tyres and service etc.

so have few days see do i want stick fully with bike or car

2 bikes i see and can maybe afford are as follows

both look good, black one has lot overspray on rims and tyres and exhaust from painting but has nice wilbers shocks at stock gs height. think offer buy now was 3250 last week but refused my 1st other offer

the other bike is 300 over budget but looks clean.

If its of any interest, my neighbour has a 2005 1200GS, with full luggage, adventure wheels, abs , grips etc, and full service history

Going on fleabay next week for fixed price of £3995.

If you are on a budget why are you looking at the Adventure? You will get a better standard GS for your money. The shrewd buy would be an 1100 of course/:D
 
Value

John, there's better value in Ireland. The asking price and the selling price can be miles apart. I know this from experience, I've sold two bikes in the last few weeks for considerably less than I was asking. In one case it must have been the longest sale ever as I started dealing with the buyer 10 months previously and a combination of issues with the bike he was selling and me unsure as to the value of my bike meant it went on and on. The last bike I sold was 1150gs in mint condition with24k mls on it for £2400. Again it was advertised for considerably more but I wanted it sold and a lad turned up with cash.
It's not the time to be a gentleman. Either fuck or be fucked.

Yes not sure want pay more than i paid for same bike 3 years ago

Lot bmw's anf ktm here in ireland are put up at uk price as think can make same money as uk
 
Banks and loans

There are no banks lending here for big boys toys unless you are in a grade A financial situation. Some sellers are in a fantasy world as regards their prices. I have noticed however that what is for sale now is mostly shite. Fellas are desperate and will try shifting anything on.

i noticed that too.

downloaded the pics off the black bike and can see has been re sprayed, bady with paint on tyres, rims and exhaust.

asked seller when ws done and could i have closer pics an he got bit thick saying bike original and never re sprayed

few nice 1150gs adv gone up but looking serious money for them nearly more than few years back

i will hold off as only have small budget and nto pushed
