Many, many, many times but always for work. Depends what you like. Fantastic city in the spring / summer - very vibrant, lots of pavement cafes, decent restaurants and nice people and you can do wonderful boat trips out into the archepelago which is stunning to places like Marstrand. Booze is a bit steep though. In the winter it is a different story - the place shuts down. That's probably why it is £56 now! What to do? A couple of decent museums / art galleries, watch some ice hockey if you are lucky, visit the fish church or even the Volvo museum :D

Have to agree. Even though I live here. It's a much nicer place in the summer.

Lots of times, but mostly on business.

Go in the summer if you can. The main street through town (The Avenue) is excellent.

Get a travel card. It works on buses, trams, local trains etc. The tram service is good.

Take the Volvo guided tour around the car factory.

Marstrand is worth a day out if it's sunny. Give it a miss in winter.
