I bought one but am still waiting for it. Just wondered if anyone else bought one and if so how long did it take for it to arrive?
Many thanks.

Got one too, but don't want to install it yet - planning to do a long travel this summer and want the BMW as stock as possible. Maybe after that i'll install it. Meanwhile, it's for sale - 30£ :) Brand new, unused.

Cheers, Margus

I'll be fitting mine as soon as it gets here and dyno'ing it the day after. I'll post the charts. I'm hoping for 100bhp and a torque curve as flat as a witches tit!:D

I just found out from him that my money hasn't arrived in Germany yet. Been 8 working days. ho hum.

I'm pulling my bike to pieces at the weekend try to get to know my way round it better. I'd really hoped to have installed the chip then. Looks like that plans out of teh window. Ah well, beer drinking it is then!:D :beerjug:

I picked one up a while back from a German ebay site. It arrived within a week . I finally got around to fitting it last night but I haven't road tested it yet ad I need to fit a new alternatopr v-belt first so maybe I'll get it done tonight and be able to report tyre shreadding acceleration matched by hyper-ballistic top speeds but somehow I doubt it ;)

Cor, gissa go Mista, what'll she do!:D

Just back from the first road test......very interesting. I haven't changed the air intake (which the instructions recommend) but I think there is some more pull and the bike seems smooth. I adjusted the valves at the same time so maybe the valve adjustment made it smooth too but certainly no lack of grunt. I only went out for 10 minutes just to warm up the engine but I think it's working ......I'll let you know more when I have ridden more. Meanwhile .....as I was slowing down from Mach 2 I did feel the TKC 80s were at their limit ;)

Ooooh, interesting! Keep us posted.

I've got a Remus Grand Prix on a 1999 R1100GS - standard airfilter and no other engine mods.

Same set up as mine, albeit i have a Laser exhaust, with a loose and very rattly baffle, :o :P

Ahhh...but mine is the faster silver and yellow special limited edition model ;)

Hi Gecko,
Rode the bike any more? How are you finding the chip? Pleased?
Thanks.

OOps yes....sorry I forgot to report back.
I had the bike out for a good run this weekend. Very good it is too. I wouldn't say that I notice huge amounts of power that I didn't have before but surging is gone and it feels smooth all the way though the rev range. Under hard acceleration it just seems to pull and pull and pull....it was already great but it just seems to be pulling right through the rev range whereas before I didn't really notice it until I wound it up a bit.
I travelled fully loaded with my camping gear and panniers on mixed roads and motorways and it was fine. I also did 2 days of off road riding in soft sand , gravel and mud and it was all fine - so definitely no ill effects from the chip.
Fuel consumption seems slightly better.....but that may be wishful thinking
Go for it - for Euro 39 it's worth a go I reckon.
I got mine from here
Cheers

Couldn't get it to work

Hi ,I tried one of the e-bay eproms but it didn't work on my 2000 1150gs , sent it back to the guy and he sent me another but it was the same , all works fine on original chip so beware .When chip was fitted the fuel pump wouldn't switch off and just ran indefinetely , no instuctions came with it either .Maybe I'm missing something but don't think so as tried fitting the two different chips the same way as the original came out and went in again .still got the chip if someone wants to try it , if it works send me £20 , hows that for an offer?

Can't remember the sellers name but it was something like v-twin italia or similar:rob

Thats because the 1150 needs a different chip for each year of bike.

i.e. a 2001 chip doesn't work in a 2002 bike - the 1100 is one chip fits all. More crude/basic system. :D

Ive done 3.5k with the eprom chip and its fine. Surging hardly noticable and accelleration is better. I paid 25 for mine after emailing him direct. One of the best mods I have done I think.:thumb2

Hello,
This winter I want to fit an other sport air intake(carbon from Wunderlich),also a K&N air filter,I've got already a Y pipe cat replacement and a Remus Revolution exhaust(without the DB killer, sound is great with fire works in the dark:D)
Is it true(in combination with the Y pipe and the Remus, the air intake and the K&N filter) when you change the eprom and also the Air intakes between the injectors and the air box(The air intakes of a 1100S or a 1150RS)that the R1150GS will have arround the 100 BHP????
And what about the torque, because I like the torque more than the full power on high speed !!!
Frank:)
