Trenendous bikes to ride but they are very fragile for a British climate. I would have another but they aren't as robust as BMW and not a viable commuter.
The great thing about a GS is you can dose it with ACF 50 and then not wash it from Oct to March and although it's covered in crud it looks OK and you know it's a a quick blast with a hose and it's back to normal.
With this duke, KTMs, Triumphs etc I can't help thinking they'd not handle a winters load of crud and I'm not talking about corrosion I'm talking about crud in nooks, crannies and rads etc
You are joking ???
The worst thing about a GS is it's crap build quality !!
Admittedly the Ducati may not be much better but the KTM certainly will be !!

not too keen on the new DVT as there are lots of problems with the newer model.
I've had 2 test ride's on a Multi DVT and loved it, I took the bike along a variety of roads with differing surfaces on a wet n' windy day and it performed better than expected in terms of ride quality and power delivery, I've stopped myself on more than one occasion from doing a deal and getting one but I still have nagging doubts over it's build quality but also have a nagging desire to own one and find out for myself, who knows what 2016 will bring.........it won't be the Enduro version though, I have no requirement for increased off road ability and I think it looks kind of bland.
From what i have read on the Ducati forum they have been suffered with a few teething problems. All getting sorted and the 2016 model will hopefully have all the mods and updates done.
