Myself and a couple mates are heading up for this from Fife on the Friday, leaving at about 6am to catch the 13:30 Gills Bay ferry. Anyone else attending?

drop me a pm with your mobile number dek, ill keep in touch. waiting on one of the guys clearing with his mrs before buying tickets. ferry looks to be about £60 (discount may be available) and event tickets are £18.
I'll speak to my mates as well, see if anyones up for it - I know a couple of them are away to France in the summer....will be in touch.

Well tickets and ferry passage now booked for myself and Jon (python).
We are booked on the 13:15 Northlink ferry from Scrabster to Stromness on Friday 24th August (50% discount so £20 each), leaving Fife at about 6am. Coming back we booked the other ferry (Pentland) from St Margaret's Hope to Gills Bay near JoG (£32 each) leaving 11:30am on Sunday 26th - that way we get to see some of the island riding down to the more remote ferry terminal.
Anyone else keen now that it's a bit closer to the time?

Good cafe in St Margaret's hope, Robertsons, the grub on the pentalina is a bit sketchy, if you have time nip over to shapinsay on the ferry from Kirkwall, good grub in Balfour at the smithy, no need to take the bikes it's only a two minute walk from the ferry, the lady who doses the cooking is from Chezzer, aka chesterfield, I was there last Saturday.

cheers guys, will bear those tips in mind. will seek out robertsons for breakfast before the ferry, though doubt we will have time for the shapinsay detour. will see whats happening at the rally first
