Anyone doing their own service on LC's?

Agreed. Modern synthetic oil isn’t going to go off so unless the mileage or condition of use necessitates changing it sooner, every two years will be fine.

Cheers but if you do not change it for whatever reason, can they get you in case of warranty ??????

Old fashioned mineral oil doesn't 'go off' either.
Its already 60 million years old.

Change on mileage or at 2 years is fine.

You are right that oil does not go off, I understood that it is the additives that might? I personally would not worry but oil does come with a best before date for some reason?

Thank you SteveC10 for your kind offer.

I would guess that any best before date is only referring to the containers ability to keep moisture out.

You dont want moisture or condensation mixed in with your oil, which is why they are sealed bottles. Store in a cool dry place.

Oh... and of course Limiting the Manufacturers legal liability for its product. Which I guess is the main reason.
