Just recently, (last 2 rides) my bike has been seriously lumpy at tickover. It feels and sounds like its running on one cylinder, idling is very eratic dropping down to 500rpm and occasionaly going up to 2000rpm and the engine vibrating like its out of balance.

It seems to occur once the bike has warmed up and been running for some time, IE, if you start it when warm its OK, but once its been running for say 20 mins its very bad. Runs OK at anything other than tickover.......I have recently removed my Remus Y piece but the lambda sensors are still in place and connected.

Anyone experienced similar symptoms?

bad running

for all we know, it might have only one cylinder! what bike is it? ;) nick

Check that your secondary plugs are connected to the HT leads correctly(the ones on the bottom of the pots). They should be a good tight fit.

If that's ok then have a TBS done.

SiFi :)

Not an easy one

Gone are the days when you could adjust these glitches - I am afraid that a few minutes on the computer is called for if all connections seem OK.

thanks for the replies.

I checked the plugs and leads and they were OK, I disconnected the leads one by one while it was running and it didnt make any difference.

I disconnected ande recconnected the battery and it seemed to behave itself today so touch wood its cured.

Thanks, oh and yes, it is a 1200

Did you remember to reset the fuel injection (fully open and close the throttle twice) after you reconnected the battery?

Presumably you do that with the ignition on and the engine off?

Have you had the latest software download? Mine was pretty lumpy on tickover when quite hot until the service in Nov. last year.It now ticks over a little faster but the lumpiness has gone when hot.
