Anyone fitted a K+N to there 1250GS

Skid is there any info or youtube videos on it
I looked today but couldnt find anything !!

not seen one for 1250 rob, If you don't want to tackle the job yourself im sure Nige at NRP Bilsthorpe will do it, great bloke, done me lots of work, a bit far for you though

I dont want the GS to have more power as stated if I want to ride a bike with more power Ill take my Turbo Hayabusa out, im trying to eliminate a Niggle that I have with the bike !!

Try some better quality fuel for a few tanks, maybe can help, not so much you can do to 1250 2021, avoid play with other filters it will give errors later, if you decat avoid many place in Europe Germany swiss many checks on bikes exhaust system, if not EU comply, bike go away on pickup truck, I get controlled 3 times in summer and only across border in Germany, but if you decide to spend money on headers you must get EC/ECE approved one, link below, as decat one with no approval says remap must do, but here not allow to speak remap, or invisible snake arrives.

Wow a big difference in opinions
I did a lot of looking around today and it would appear that the standard paper filter stops particles down to approximatly 20-22 microns the K+N in accordance with there specifications stops particles down to 2 microns with an airflow rate of 30% more

Davy thanks, I also have used them in many applications and never suffered any adverse reactions

I think if the original carrier and a smear of silicone grease is applied to both the carrier and the mount it will be ok as its around this area that if anywhere will let debris in as with the KTMs
so im not worried about that im sure it wont be the filter element allowing anything to get through (if there spec is to be beleived)

I did try to buy the decat headers that were for sale in the FS&W section but was beaten to it as a decat was my first thoughts as Malko suggested,

I ordered the K+N today and will fit it with some grease around the seals and keep a close eye on and in the airbox and if anyone has or knows of a set of Akrapovic or alike decat headers please keep me in mind as I dont really want to buy a set new for £1k and it does not cure the problem (albeit a very small niggle ) which is quite easily ridden around Id rather fix it if possible

I will have some Remus Decat headers available soon as need to get something smaller due to my third back operation. They do not have a flap fitted so no chance of it seizing. I have used them with a Servo Buddy which prevents any fault codes. I used them with a Remus Hexacone, K & N filter and remapped at hilltop, as Geoff’s done 6 bikes for me. Fuelling is sublime with it, with small boost in hp & 7lb ft more torque.
