Looking for some help before spending nearly £50 for PTT !

What are the pros/cons of fitting an Autocom PTT to the LC ?
Does it conflict with use of the LH bar control wheel ?

I've a Super pro unit fitted under the pillion seat, any suggestions for routing the PTT cable forward ?
Not familiar with the set-up for PTT, do I need a power supply or is power fed from the Super Pro main unit ?

Thanks.

PTT is a simple switch. You push it to talk, let go of it to listen. It is used in place of the voice activated trigger in Autocom and other bike-to-bike set ups.

Is it powered? No, not in the sense that it requires its own dedicated power supply. Obviously it has a lead that connects it it to the Autocom or it wouldn't work as a switch.

Will it interfere with the Whirly-wheel? No, not unless you let it. The switch is most commonly secured onto the nearside hand grip, thumb operated.

Does it make any difference that it's attached to a 1200 GS WC, as opposed to another motorcycle? No.

There is a really good section on bike communication parts, methods, tints and hips.....

It's part of a larger section, Equipment and toys....
