Me, just got a GS with heated grips, did me with the last one, and having had an RT with the fancy electronic suspension adjustment, I can't say I'm that fussed about it.

just went for heated grips,me 04 1200 had abs,i think it cut in twice in 20k miles,i don,t think abs is that important if your a summer only fair weather puff like me,mind you maybe it,s better to have it and not need it then need it when you haven,t got it.

Go for the ABS. Deer pop out in front of you in all weathers. DAMHIK.

I was an ABS skeptic but ordered it on my 08. Although I'm good on emergency braking, it saved my bacon once, therefore worth the investment.

Some say it's hard to sell a BMW without ABS. The rest - take your pick.

I bought just a plain GS. For me it's a work horse so the less options the less to go wrong. The only time ABS would have made a difference to me is 30 years ago when I panicked braked on my AP50 moped....Touch wood

going for premium pack only...

ESA a must for me as I'm constantly changing loads on bike
Heated grips of course
Computer... handy gadget
Chrome.. going to go for chrome cylinderhead covers too so chrome exhaust a must
LED lights... Yuck.. but give better light

plus a host of other stuff mainly from Nippy normans and touratech

I will save £1000 for not going with abs.. which i need for the other stuff and proper riding equipment and clothes.

I've just got the premium pack.

I didn't fancy the Dynamic option cos I ain't that dynamic!! Seriously though I had ABS on my last bike and it never chimed in in 5 years of riding, the traction control seems a bit daft on a bike marketed for some off road type use and the tyre pressure things seem to go wrong quite often

The ESA I do use though as often vary the preload settings and I can feel the difference from comfort-normal-sport modes in the handling.

Each to their own though and I'm sure others with the Dynamic option will be able to offer stories of how their ABS and TPC has saved their lives!

but you'll lose hundreds when you come to sell and it will put a lot of buyers off. I've owned two non-ABS GSs but went for ABS for the first time on my 2010 - and don't regret it. The system has improved a lot in recent years (especially without the servo brakes) Avoid the Dynamic package and just add the ABS.

I traded my 56 plate GS without ABS and any gimmicks and got hell of a deal, so I think if you're trading in against new they just want your business.

Well I ordered the Bike without ABS, ASC or Tyre pressure monitoring.

I would rather learn to ride the bike from day one with no nannying electronics to interfere with my riding.. and "feel" of the road.

I only ride in the dry anyway and I take it easy.. If I have to brake so hard that I lock the front wheel then God help us all.

Will Post some pics in a month when it arrives!!

you didn't say that.. I said that... ABS can certainly help but It won't Necessarily save ones life.
