Me and a mate might be interested I will check at my dealer thanks for the heads up will contact you if we go.

Don't forget, that if you want, for symbolic purposes, to ride the road in it's entirety, that the road historically begins in the town center of Bruck, at Gasthof Lukashansl on the Salzach Bridge, location of the zero milestone. Milestone 1 is at the junction with the B311 federal road. You should be OK with the weather although the road won't have been open that long depending on severity of the coming winter. Make a note of their telephone number (available from the Glockner website) and telephone ahead if there is any doubt.
Enjoy. :thumb

Heading that way next year, 3 nights near the Grossglockner after 4 nights in the Dolomites.

Prices seem reasonable, for two we normally pay £50 - £60 for basic B&B at Pensions (Like a Guest House) and £70 - £80 at hotels, occasionally managing to get a meal thrown in for not much more. Factor in a £70 crossing and that seems like a pretty sweet deal.

Paying about £85 (104 Euro's) for Bed Breakfast and Evening meal in the Dolomites at Al Forte this year, which looks like stunning value

Generally you get a lot more for your money with Alpine Hotels than you do in the UK, looking for a nice Hotel in Devon recently and prices were about£250 a night for gaffs that did not look this good - and meals were extra!

Grab a copy of the Motorcyle Journeys book to wet your apetite before you go :thumb2

Last time I stopped at the Waldorf, the price was for all inclusive, that's breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea with cake, dinner and the house beer / wine - :bounce1
