Anyone going to German Moto Gp

my wife and I have changed over euro trip to go and see this.seems rude not ton ferry from Hull on 15July have a b and b booked in Erfurt for 2 nights about 85 miles from circuit.Has anyone been to this event whats traffic like.best place to view from ect new to this circuit thanks for any help. After Gp its on to Augsburg,canazei,Munich,Czech Republic and Frankfurt before home cheers Neil

Did the Sachsenring in 2007. I had a grandstand seat on the start/finish which wasn't brilliant. The bottom of the 'Omega' looked good, plus there was an enclosure on turn 13 (I think that it was the second to last turn) that looked good. It's a circuit where you may have to try hard to find a good view....it's small and tight, with plenty of grandstands but not great for 'sat on a grass bank' stuff.

The ride there is easy and the circuit is easy to find. The traffic is a bit of a pig....just like any other GP, get there early etc.

If you like a party, then try and stay at the circuit on Saturday night. It's one real mega blast...better than at the Spanish tracks (IMHO) More beer/bands/burgers than you can shake a stick at.

Camping is available on the hill opposite the main entrance. I didn't book, just turned up. No dramas.

I got my tickets on line, from the Sachsenring web site. You print them off yourself and everything worked perfectly....All very German.

Believe it or not, in 2007 it was the hottest GP of the year.....I baked, and loved it.

+1 for everything jonny said we just turned in2009 up with email tickets and camped on the hill, can turn into a bog if its wet though good view from most of the stands with giant tv screens and the germans enjoy a party
