Anyone got a low mileage gearbox for an 1150gs?

also

Neil will probably advise you anyway, poss ditch the clutch and fit new, and also fit a new slave cylinder and poss a hose.
Money spent well.

It's the internals that have failed and punted a hole in the case so i'd advise a bid of no more than two bob.

You could be buying something like the pictures below (that's what happens when bearings ping around amongst meshing cogs . And that gearbox was still running, unlike the one above on ebay, although it was a touch noisey .....

That oil must have been a bit more than "silvery" maybe a magnetic drain plug would have helped :augie

The pictures are another customers gearbox from a while ago.

As i said on the above thread reference the ebay gearbox being a possibility - "that's what can happen".

Sorry Mr. St. Eptoe, just my bad Welsh sense of humour and my fear of finding similar in my gearbox :thumb

Great.... There goes my dreams of using my recently bought adapted blue Dodge van for my new street performer venture.

Hi

I've just PM'd you but there is an 1150 gearbox just listed on ebay for £140 - get in there quick !!

typical isn't it, they turn up just after you've bought one. Steppers found one for £525 which seemed to be a good deal given the cost elsewhere.

If I wasn't now broke I'd buy it and put it on the shelf as an investment in the future should anything go wrong.

E bay

Yeah, who's nicked bike did the gearbox come from? rather trust Neil anytime.
