Has anyone had any dealings with BikeSure?

I understand they are Adrian flux

I have been on all of the comparison sites and they seem to come out cheapest.

I have a 2022 R1250GSA and a 2000 R1150GS and they have quoted me just over 500 for both bikes

Flux/Bikesure is just the broker. I'd be looking at the name of the underwriter not the broker and paying a few quid extra to get an Ageas or Aviva policy.
As posted in another thread about a delayed claim, Avoid Markerstudy or their sock puppets such as Zenith

The insurer is Zurich

Ive been with bike sure 3 years they have been excellent i wont change yet

My GSA and the wife's Victory is insured through them, no problems.

Been with Bikesure for four years, but that’s due to price/cover VFM.

I’ve yet to use them and like of all us, hope to never need to….

Morning,

Happy to help with any insurance related queries and if you was requiring an insurance quote through ourselves.

Drop me a DM.

Thanks

They were the only one to cover the GS, thanks to insurance small print!

Two fucking letters that = we can't quote!
Was the stock response from 90% of the mainstream providers

Bikesure
They did/ do, but your wallet feels the burden lol

I have been with them for years and rate them. Their staff generally understand bikes and insurance, which helps  . Currently two multi-bike policies with them - one for 'modern' bikes and one for classics. I think both policies are with Ageas.

Been with them for years, they cover all 5 of mine and the only ones who will touch my heavily modified SV1000.

No complaints from me.

Slight modification to my earlier satisfaction- my Christmas Eve was rather spoiled by a text and email from Markerstudy saying my bike had been in a accident and if I didn’t contact them they would settle the claim as my fault.

At first I thought it was a scam but telephoned Markerstudy (having checked the number was legitimate) who told me my bike was in an accident last week.

Three crucial points emerged:

1. It was a bike I traded in on 1 August
2. Bikesure was still showing Markerstudy as the insurer, in my name. And in the insurers database.🤔😩
3. The rider’s name was not mine but another.

Discussions with a very helpful chap at Bikesure elicited the admission that when I requested a Change of Vehicle they had failed to delete the old policy after opening the new one!

So Christmas Eve morning wasted sending paperwork to Markerstudy to prove I had sold the bike and notified DVLA, so they can deflect the claim to the other insurer recorded on the insurer database. No doubt there will be more to do😩

Thanks Bikesure!

So the saga of Bikesure's cock up continues:

This week I wanted to insure another bike (CRF 250).

I had 3 calls with Bikesure, all of which had the line cut (not by me!) after approx 35 minutes (where they were still faffing around).
After my fourth call, it emerged that they were quoting me a 60% higher premium because of 'an unresolved claim on my policy".
This claim was a result of their failure to cancel my old policy.
Now they are telling me I have to speak to Fourth Dimension (claims management firm?) in order to remove the claim from the database...even though the claim was a result of Bikesure's failure to carry out my instruction to cancel the policy.

I have now spent many hours over the Christmas period trying to resolve their (Bikesure's) mess.

So my questions to the collective:
1. How do I get this spurious claim removed from Bikesure's/the industry database so I don't get unfairly penalised?
2. What's the best way to get Bikesure to make tangible amends for their error and the time and stress it has cost me?

you make a formal complaint in writing then statutory timescales apply before you can escalate the matter to the relevant ombudsman

there is an email address here https://customers.bikesure.co.uk/contact-us/

you need to establish if this error is caused by Bikesure, 4th Dimension or an underwriter. Word your email accordingly asking for full disclosure of the matter in writing. Once you have the facts you can escalate your complaint to whichever organisation is responsible. Do not assume Bikesure is ultimately responsible but I would be asking why they had not done more to resolve the matter.
If Bikesure does not help, escalate it to the ombudsman

Thanks Wessie. Bikesure agent has already admitted they failed to cancel the old policy when setting up the new.

Am with bikesure and no problems, but haven’t had to make a claim so it’s probably insignificant

And despite me sending 4 emails last month with lots of documentation, and 2 long phone calls at the end of which they told me they had everything they needed, yesterday I got this: (And all because BIKESURE cocked up….but haven’t offered to sort it in any way)
