I'm contemplating replacing my Garmin, last summer it developed an intermittant blind spot in the center of the screen. intend doing a big trip in 2026 and I thought the Chigee AIO 5 looked good. I have a 2017 1200GS LC so no TFT.
Anyone have any experiance of using a Chigee? AIO5/AIO6

I had a 5-inch chigee. The build quality definitely seems to be the best of these units. However, I felt that I was having to concentrate that little bit longer to safely read the screen, another benefit of old age.
I now use a six-inch CPMC unit. This worked effortlessly on our eight-day tour of Ireland in September, using the MRA app and Waze for getting to/from the ports.
I don't think the CPMC, formerly Aoochi, feels as well-made, but with discount codes, it was less than half price.
For long days, whatever the device, you may need to consider a battery pack, as I found it quite power hungry.

I had the AIO-5 Lite for a year, until the AIO-6 came out. I now have the 6 LTE. It's great. I'm sure there are others available that are ok too. The 5 was good, it needs an extra module to operate from the Wonder wheel, but it it did it in exactly the same way as the NAV 6 did when using the LIN module, the CAN module does it ok but slightly different and doesn't give any of the OBD stuff that the LIN does. The AIO 6 does this without an extra module. The CAN module works ok but sits under the pillion seat, therefore a bit hit and miss with BT connection with someone sat on the back.
The 5 lite has F+B cameras and blind spot detection (Works better than the 6). The drawback of the 5 lite is that it's hard wired in, but that never gave me an issue, it's not easy to be removed but it's as secure as a NAV 6 would be that's left in the Nav prep cradle. The 6 can be removed, it uses the cradle as the 5 play does (play doesn't have the cameras), but I find I don't ever remove it.
I use a Peak Design wireless mount plugged into either a NN high speed USB socket or the Chigee TR100 for the phone. it easily keeps up and generally is fully charged on longer journeys when using CarPlay at the same time. Don't know what it's like through a standard USB as I've never used it.
The price is high for the Chigee but the build quality it top notch, the Aoochi is ok but just not as good quality wise. I'm not sure that the change from the Chigee 5 to the 6 was worth the cost, but I still did it. suppose I'd only notice if I went back to a 5. I don't notice much difference with the camera quality.

I've got a 5 and a 6, and have no complaints, multiple trips done, including 3,500 miles wandering around Eastern Europe and onto the alps this year and it never missed a beat. I'm running mine with an iPhone 15 Pro Max and mostly use My Route App for planning, and navigation. (Any excuse for a picture

The casing on the Chigee is better quality but the Aooccis are less than half the price of the Chigee and work just as well.

Have a look at the Aoocci stuff too, cheaper than most and they get good reviews on YouTube

Daft question… my 850 has the bmw cradle and an old nav4…does the Aoocci clip straight onto the cradle ? ( also got the wonder wheel )

Succinct review: Great unit but the screen was too small for my fading eyesight.
