I did the off road day a couple of years ago. V good instruction. Excellent equipment. good bikes.
For someone who last went off road a few decades a go to end up jumping acrest on a KTM and riding stood up no hands over a fence post whilst exploring the effect on the steering a good day learned a lot.

A really good day i plan to go again on the other days when money allows.

+ 1. Did the off-road day last summer. Well worth the money. Would say that it's aimed more towards MX than the BM Off Road Skills course, but still very useful in terms of learning how to be comfortable riding off road.

Kirky, looks like fun, if you set it up, give me a shout mght join you.

i believe ho does a road based day , braking , counter steering , hazard avoidence , etc etc . that was the one i was thinking about first .. then maybee go back for the offroad stuff :thumb2:thumb2

if anyone is up for it it could be a good wee day out .. albeit a wee bit expensive , but what price can you put on rider skills improvement :thumb2:thumb2

failing that i think i'll do the IAM skill for life course :thumb2

Three of us did the first of the off road courses last year.It was good fun and good VFM, although one of us (undoubtedly the best and most experienced rider) got a bit giddy on the jump section and has since had surgery on his shoulder.

We learned a lot for it and are going back to do the MC1 course in May.:clap

He does both off road and on road, have done the off road and recommend it, not done the on road so cant comment.

We did a group day from work and all enjoyed it. My brother in law took his cbt to do the course and with having no other biking experience he was doing tricks and jumps by the end of the session.

their kit is spot on KTM 250 and 400's and their gear is wolfe sport stuff which caters all sizes ( including tosser size - which I found out :augie)

great tuition and a relaxed manner, great location, on top of sutton bank and his wife runs around taking action shots of your cunning stunts:thumb2

picture of me on the course taken on mates moby phone so sorry for the quality

Oh yeah, no connection, just a happy punter:thumb

Dr Doms days are absolutely fantastic (even if Dr Dom doesn't do them himself any more).

He has the psychology of riding absolutely pegged and delivers some real life-changing stuff in a very short space of time.

When folks are talking about road based days - they are actually in an Airfield where there is just you and 10 - 20 others, all not knowing what to expect.

Do the road day and I'll put money on the fact that you will come away 50% better rider than you started, maybe even more.

I've done all his days and the off road bits are no where near as thought provoking and deep learning experience than the basic ones. If you like the off-road stuff - you'll love the airfield time.

Imagine doing all the stuff you learned off road on your road bike!!!!

I've done these days on a Harley Heritage, little GS and a Big GS - Massive confidence booster (and I already have quite a bit of Advanced training under my belt).

Slow speed, high speed, skidding, sliding, obstacles power braking - its got it all. Cant say any more as Dr Dom swore me to secrecy - so don't tell him...OK:augie? Just do it - you know it makes sense!
