Was in touch with a company on ebay who can offer a deal on a power commander and autotune unit for £445 delivered which is a decent price, but need to find 5 folk interested in buying in order to get the discount.

So anyone interested in buying with me to take advantage??

So would be for 1 x http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dynojet-P...83?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_77&hash=item486825d20f and 1 x http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/380927538905?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

Anyone interested???

Myself and another ukgser bought the other night....Got them from Germany for £470. If you'd have posted a week ago you'd have 3 and only be looking for 2

As Delboy, interested in the PCM v only - mate has just got one and the change with the standard map was significant...then got it dyno'd and didn't notice any upgrade from the standard PCM map. Unless you have some trick set up...air filter, headers etc his view was not to bother with the dyno....but nice to have the option.

The plus point with a dyno is you can set it to your own preference. Mine is set up for low down power and torque which I couldn't get from the standard PC maps and it was well worth the expense for me at least.

The big hurdle is getting people to commit to the purchase.

First thing you would need to do - is get a price per unit based upon all the numbers upwards of their minimum (for group buy).

Only when you tell people what the saving will be - will they commit (and half of them will suddenly find another use for the money - and bail)

Just my take on the task..............

It looks a decent price, but is a lot of money to cough up at short notice. I may be interested but couldn't commit for a couple of months at least.

Sorry for not posting gents, been travelling home just in the door and saw all the posts, last I looked there werent any happy days.

I can get in touch and see what they would do just the PCV for eh?? Im not looking for any fancy setup i just want a nice running bike. As Oldnfat says his pal is running just a standard map on the PCV maybe if we went for only the power commander we could get a decent price.

Let me know numbers interested, even if its me and you Dellboy we can maybe get a deal for two??

Cheers
Mark

Mark, i have already bought a new one from the suggested supplier above. Ive bought PC only as im going to have it set up on the Dyno at HM Dynos on the black isle. Ive used Chap before and he is good.

Sorry Cammy it was your post that sparked off the thought of asking :-(

How you getting on with it anyway??

Hopefully receive it tomorrow from Germany
I'll get it setup then post back mate remember the pcv with base map is a closed loop system and doesn't have the ability to learn....the autotune module takes the info from the lambda sensors and constantly tunes the bike so it's perfect all the time regardless of altitude or hot/cold days.
worth another £250 on my 10k bike IMO

Let us know how you get on Dell, be good to know what you get on the Dyno.

I just picked up a new to me 2012 R1200GSA tripple black and flippen heck im sure its got more grunt and is a lot smoother than the 2011 R1200GS that i traded for it. Sport mode and wee run back up over Glenshee it was braw like...

Hilltop ???

I shall be interested to see how this develops....was toying with the idea of a tour down to Hilltop, but this may be an alternative. Depends how technically technical it is to set up the (more expensive..but portable..) PCV bits, as opposed to handing it over to a clever grease monkey and letting him do it. From what I can glean, it seems that the Autotune bitty which continually tunes is the best way? Just another 200 quid...

Weeell....it would depend on your deal....it sounds as if your PCV is different to the one I would need for my '09 1200...would your group buy do that? I think the Autotune lump is the same...but my German isn't up to deciphering the ad properly.

mine is in transit but the communication from the German company is poor at best....I've no worries I'm going to receive my stuff but I've sent two messages now and not had a reply to either....
once I receive I'll do a install guide for others to see how to fit it.

Great idea thanks..

Don't think he will, we would need five of us with the twin cam engine me thinks. We might be as well just buying from cammys fella in Germany.

I'm keen to hear how it goes.
