Anyone interested in a 'long' trail ride?

Hi guys,

An update (albeit late - apologies).

I have now arranged my unforseen trip to Turkey on business to be next week - so that bit is ok.

The earliest that I can make it is tea time on Friday the 8th June.

The two other Cornish lads, have sorted out their bike problems (holed piston) and can also make the weekend from friday pm.

Devon, (if things are as was) can also do this.

So it's up to everybody else to join in if they can make it

( Mav, Klein Blumen, KTM 525 etc.)

Because time is so short for all the above reasons, and because at least 4 of us are in the west country anyway, how about meeting at my place (Liskeard east Cornwall about 20 minuits from the Devon border /Tamar bridge).

I will put up all arrivals Friday night, do east Cornwall saturday morning (we will route plan) before starting to head north east through Devon on Saturday afternoon.

Dartmoor Sunday, keep heading north east (perhaps Exmoor) till we have had enough?

Please post back asap and we can try to get it back on track.

Think most adults are gonna be golfers so i'm hopin to take my DRZ in the back of the van and maybe have a poke arround

It starting to look pretty certain I will only be able to make the 9 and 10th of June. I don't know how this will fit in with everyone elses dates? I guess it's a case of wait a couple of days and see how these dates suit everyone, then get our heads together for where and how far the ride would be?

Marjorie, Ive convinced Mrs Pastyman that If I go I will not be spending the weekend with Proops for real... Im interested in joining providing the routes are no too dire. Im from Stithians in Cornwall and would be interested in meeting up on the Saturday morning, (only half a hour to liskeard) if thats ok. Ive a 650Dak but only limited off road experience. willing to give anything a try. Ill keep an eye on this post and firm things up later.

OK, so we now have a plan

We could meet at Liskeard, Friday Evening 8th June, do a ride around that area Saturday before making our way to North Devon for saturday evening. We can have a saturday evening Bar-b-que and beer then another ride out Sunday.

People who have shown an interest so far appear to vary widely in off-road riding ability so we would have to decide how difficult the riding should be once this is factored in.

Steve is away for a week now, but hopefully, we can start planning the weekend and confirm everything when he returns.

Sorry to let you guys down but it looks like I am now flying back on Friday sometime, probably evening. Not sure I'll be up to riding 200 miles on Sat morning to meet you guys at a sensible time and do a days trail riding

I am gonna be on holiday in Cornwall (St Mawes) during the week of July 9th with the GF. She really likes the idea of looking for some trails while we are down there so if anybody fancies a day that week, it'd be great to meet up.
