Whilst the above is very slightly out of my price range, and it may be sold already anyway, I am thinking of contacting the owner for a viewing and possible purchase !!
(Maybe the owner is a forum user !!)

It does seem to be a lot of bike for the money.
Is the price about right, and or are there better value GS's about ?

cheers folks

That's a VERY clean bike! I'd say if you really like it, push yourself that little bit extra and go for it, you won't be sorry. But you might always regret it if you don't.
Just my 2p worth :thumb2

Looks nice, I reckon you could get £500 off as the twin cam's came out just after and one sold on here not too long ago for not much more with most of the goodies on, Buyers market and all that :augie

Just my 2p etc :thumb

Hmmmm. I have one and i have to say, it is a clean example, but so it should be with that milage!. To give you an idea, in case you see one again, new price was about £11500 including the FREE panniers. Tank bag, if they had to pay for it is £100.
It does come with everything, which is a bonus, but in reality the only real difference was the black spoked aheels and gold forks from the Adventure. Should you find a well specified 'standard' model, there will be no difference.
And like the last poster said, the new ones came out directly after this model. If i was in the market, i'd have a DOHC model with fewer toys.....the new engine is a peach.

Apart from asking any potential seller whether or not their bike is DOHC, how will i know ?
What do i look for, or are all gs after a certain date DOHC ???

Yours naively,

NB

easy way to spot a DOHC model is the oil filler cap is on the RHS cylinder.
SOHC is on the LHS cylinder :rob

Easier to spot from a picture..... the twin cam has vertical plug covers , the single cam horizontal ;)
