Anyone know what this connectors for??

Working on the 2011 R1200GS and I’ve spotted this connector. Is this for the Californian emission control?

Odd it’s not blanked so thought best to ask.

It is for the charcoal canister required in the NA markets. The canister fits into the nearby moulded deoression in your fuel tank. Same loom, same tank for all markets no canister in the European market.

Do you have a sat nav fitted?
Could be the auxiliary power plug for fitting a sat nav.

You will need to get power to the hoop - under the beak is a 3 pin plug, you will need the flylead to plug in there

Nippy Normans do one for £20 - do not waste your money there !!!

Do a search on the forum for the part number and visit your local BMW car dealership its a generic part and should be about £12-15
