and I pick mine up this morning my dad on his new GS 83!![]()
That's the dirtiest one we've seen yet
I can't believe there was no piss take when all these older guys said they were getting a new gs.

I am 69 and regularly go out for rides with mates up to 20 years younger than me. I have had two gs's and love them!
Last week we went over to Lovetts to see the new LC and I would love one. Only trouble is it will cost me about £6000 plus my twin cam for the model I would like the TE. That's rough figures.
In the next few weeks I will book up a test ride.
Can I justify it? Well it's something I am thinking about at the moment.
By the way it is rather strange but I do feel as I did years ago when I am on the bike and certainly the boys don't have to wait for me, I am up there with them! Also I really appreciate the fact that these younger guys seem happy for me to go along.
Four of us are going to the Alps in July and I am looking forward to that, camping and hotels, bring it on![]()

Just thinking that if I splash out on a new WC at 57 it might be my last new bike, but looking at some of you guys maybe it won't

Its nice to hear that the oldies can still keep up with us whippersnappers

I've had 4 bikes since I was 64! All BMWs. My accountant's nightmare.Just thinking that if I splash out on a new WC at 57 it might be my last new bike, but looking at some of you guys maybe it won't

I have a very bad lower back, very bad knees, bad wrists, all from osteoarthrosis, but the most comfortable place for me is straddling the bike. The car is the worst, right after seated at my desk typing this. However, highway pegs and cruise control are now absolutely necessities on long trips. Other than that, I feel like 35.No chanceIts nice to hear that the oldies can still keep up with us whippersnappers

Yes but that's nothing special seeing as you are now 84!
Well I collected my new GS this morning,
I did think the speedo was a little difficult (on the small side) to make out, i'm hoping the panel can be set to digital read out on MPH,
Anyone older than me at 71 with a 2013 GS on order?
I just had to have the very latest technology to ride before I get too old to get my leg over.
Still keeping my Ducati 999S though. Couldn't bear to lose that one.

It can, asked about it at the open day.
I am? I didn't notice.Yes but that's nothing special seeing as you are now 84!
