Anyone recommend a rear mudguard extender?

Probably the reason why BMW don't fit or sell these fender extension / mudslings is Probably because the gs supposed to be a " off road go anywhere bike" so when you fit such things and go off road the mud / rocks etc will very quickly build up in these areas and possibly cause problems even to the extent of damaging these after market products, but if your a Starbucks rider Probably wouldn't have any problems.

The Machine Art Mudsling is my recommendation

Nippy Normans does deals including fender extenders here

Not sure if you guys are fully understanding what he wants.

Please DO NOT be suckered into buying a Mudsling for £150 as you can get absolute quality ones for a third of the price on Ebay. They are absolutely identical and fit perfectly and do the exact same job I promise you! No I do not sell them.

Are they the same ones that have been reported (many times) as fouling the rear tyre?

If bike is still under warranty I wouldn’t refit it as it will invalidate it
I think it's more the case (having had 3 GS's I've had to detatt at the dealers request before handing them back) that as the dealer is giving the new owner a 2 year guarentee anything that isn't genuine BMW is taken off because they don't want those parts with an unknown history/quality being included in the warranty.

Why would I recommend something that rubs??

Heres the video of an original £150 Mudlsinger having to be cut because it rubs on the rear tyre....oddly my £35 one doesn't rub after being on for about 1000 miles now

My genuine Mudsling rubs the rear tyre when the bike is on its centre stand, and the rear suspension is at full extension. No issues when riding though.
