Anyone reserved a 1200GS Adventure then?

I'm dissapointed that the adventure (allegedly) won't have a lower first gear. The current bike's first is too high, in my opinion, for tricky terrain ... or maybe I'm just crap :) Casey kept telling me "It's easier if you go faster" and when I got home my bashplate was dented and hanging off :D

Finally got around for a test ride on the 1200GS yesterday. Wow I liked it alot and very sold. Just in two minds whether I should hold on untill the 1200ADV comes out next year or take the plunge on the 1200 this year. Would prefer wire wheels and hopefully slightly larger tank not because I want to go far just because it's different :gringo

No question about it really.............wait!

In a couple of months time how much riding will you be doing anyway?

If the new ADV looks crap then buy the std one............wot have you got to lose?

I find it amazing how much has to be done to the bikes in terms of basic mods--even things like sensible-sized side stand foot, raised handlebars and so forth. And if a bike is really RTW-ready why does it have a cat in the exhaust?

Tim

Well c'mon Zmeagol, you wouldn't want them release something onto the open market which wasn't entirely ready, imagine if something like the brakes didn't work or similar!

:)

Keep the "old" un

I have, coz I think that should be the dogs dangly bits and I have no more sense! But its a hell of a gamble to reserve something that no one has even seen yet isnt it?? Let alone how much it costs!

BTBR

That's what I thought abot the 12 when it came out, but it weren't the "dogs" for me - but me 1150 GSA is :nod

I do nothing less than 2k a month and currently on the Africa Twin. Think it is more the itch than anything else and surely nothing to lose to wait a few months :)

Dare you anyway??

After the post on having to sell your new lights due to the displeasure of SWMBO have you told 'er that you've ordered a new bike?? New set of bollocks might be in order next - cos I think that's where your looking to get a boot :hapybnce:
