Been trying to contact Scriminger engineering recently but keeps going to answerphone and email not answered. Anyone out the know if they are shutdown/holiday ?

RH throttle body play is obvious and thats where the rattle came from.
No visible play in LH, is it still worth getting that done?

is it necessary to disturb the throttle position sensor?

Thanks

Nigel

I would (in fact I did).

Yes.

But it's dead easy to reset it with a multimeter and two dressmaking pins (if your bike is running fine as is, measure the voltage before removing it and reset it to the same voltage after refitting.

Letter from Steve

Dear All

As you're probably aware, Steve has been suffering with his health over the last few months. 2 weeks ago, he suffered a haemorrage, losing a substantial amount of blood, and was found to be an aneurysm. Last week this was cauterised, so is now okay, but he has been warned that he has to take it much easier.

For this reason, we have decided to close for the next 2 weeks. This is to give Steve and his team time to catch up on all the existing work. When we re-open, we will not be taking on complete motorcycles. We will continue with our benchwork side of the business, ie gearbox, engine and bevel rebuilds, along with carburettor and throttle body refurbishment.

In addition, we will be opening a small training school, covering both general maintenance & repair, along with more in-depth rebuilds covering engines & transmissions etc.

Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding,

Denise & Steve Scriminger

Hi Denise and Steve,

Sorry to hear about Steve health and I wish him a speedy recovery. You might not remember me but I was the guy from Kings Lynn that you rebuild my bevel drive while I waited on a morning in February as I have a trip planned to go to Ireland that week.

Cheers

Soji

Best wishes to you Steve for a speedy and long recovery.

Good luck with your new ventures.
