Anyone swapped the twist grip/throttle. Faulty.

A friends 2019 1250GS has developed a fault that the throttle will not go beyond 12% ( tested on gs911) and had error light. Read as throttle going to earth. Anyone had such a fault. Is there a repair or a new grip/ throttle. Bike now out of warranty.

Quite common.
Had two done under warranty on previous 2019.
Takes about 10mins and nothing to code/reset.
It’s a complete unit.

Two failure modes

1) The throttle assy goes bad
2) The short connector loom goes bad

I had both on the lemon unit

Funny, that was the start of triggers parts broom

Yep mine failed on a 2019 at 3500miles and stranded me. Thankfully I was under warranty.
