Anyone travelling alone to Morocco next April or may 2009

Didn't think there was a need for jabs!!!, went last year, no problem but the shits:drool, after a few days of going onto bottle water, all was OK.

Passport OK, 11 months remaining, Car docs OK, and vehicle export completed,ferry tickets booked, just need to get travel insurance, and bike insurance in Morocco, so just counting the days away, 8 weeks or there abouts!!! :cool:
 
going to get my travel insurance through Carole Nash, £82 for world travel for a year sounds reasosnable and will see me through another trip in the summer.

Might be wrong but i think Carole Nash bike insurance covers Morocco - off to check my Insurance to make sure


Jabs are a personal thing, but seeing as though they are all free AND in my line of work I could do with getting them all sorted out again i may aswell go see the nurse.

ferry booked 5th/apr from Plymuth to Santander - so will C U there :) still need to get one to bring me to UK :)
Comming back 18th from Cherbourg to Rosslare so full two weeks on two wheels :clap

We leave Zurich 28th March (Saturday) - aim to hit Algericas around 1600 on Sunday - hoping Carlos will be open :aidan

Find somewhere to stay overnight, and hopefully be on an early boat on the Monday.

3rd-7th we will be Marrakech with family - after then it is pretty open. We hope to do some trekking - once or twice.

Website is almost finished for the trip.

Dates are now 5th April Plymouth to Santander return 20th Santander to Portsmouth.

The 3 day shortening has earned an unimaginably large bag of Brownie Points :hug.

Still gives plenty of time to get lost in the Desert Pete dont worry ! :augie

Ferry gets booked 9am Tomorrow just some final questions on our proposed route coming up in another thread then were almost there :augie

farmboy....i'm doing dover/france/spain around end of march,but am flexible on dates/departures...will be glad to meet up somewhere along the road..tyke

Ring them up and tell them where you are going and the nurse will sort you out.

Beware though the needle is more like a fooking Javelin and I can hardly lift my arms up the day after :eek:

Rabies is £100 and not really needed unless your into Cat wrestling :pullface
 
Just been to checked the vaccines:eek:

Hepatitis A and B = 240euro
Tetanus = 60euro
and that's not all, i colapsed before the nurse finished the euro count :eek::eek:

So whats for me ?? Vaccines or new Boots - what's the chance of getting hepatitis or some other shit over there ?? :)

Thats bad News Pete.

Get the boots and then you can at least stamp on any creepy crawlies coming to eat you.

I would say the chances of damaging your legs are a lot greater than catching any dodgy disease.

Hi Farmboy there are four of us takeing the same ferrys as you to moroco and back iam the only one on a bm 1150gs there will be a xt600e xtz660 and a ktm990 if you see us come and say hi prob in the bar ha ha have a good one . regards Dai.
