Anyone tried a Madstad on the 1190 Adventure

Got the idea from Adv rider to put an MRA spoiler on the inside of my SA screen.

Tried it yesterday and a further improvement again - got a trip down to the Pyrenees next week so will see how well it works on a longer trip :)

WTF if you need some Meccano I can help

Thanks for the offer but no Meccano required ;)

Why piss about with screens that half work and mods that may work yes the madstad screens could be prettier but by fuck do they work and let's be honest if you are doing the miles surely that is what you want

Strangely enough there are still plenty of folks over on Advrider for who the Madstad does not work - so that is no guarantee either :rolleyes:

I recon with a bit more playing with the Ht/angle adjustment it should work for me - will let you know when I get back from the Pyrenees ;)

I've done that on my 1290 as well ,using a Puig spoiler. It does seem to help (using the screen in its lowest position) and collects a lot of bugs which would otherwise hit my visor.
Still not overly happy with the screen, and whilst the Madstad does seem to work well for many people, I definitely do not like the appearance of it, and I would need to be pretty desperate to feel the need to fit one.
On the other hand, I might try a short screen like the 1190R.

I use the kTm touring screen with a puig spoiler. Works for me, at high setting I get minimal buffeting on a motorway, at low setting cool air for around town. ;

I have an Adventure screen going if anyone wants to try one, decided on the huge Puig touring screen for touring and using the standard KTM one when pottering around near home. £20 inc postage.
