On Saturday I fitted a new power chip to my 1150GS that I picked up from this German vendor on eBay. He does chips for a number of bikes including the 1100 and 1150 and is quite happy to sell directly, outside of eBay auctions for the same price of £25 including postage.

sounds allmost 2 good 2 be true ..

how easy is it to fit:nenau

From the same thread:

"Fitting, for those who haven't done it before, is fairly easy. You take off the petrol tank then undo 4 screws which hold the fuel injection controller in place. Remove the 4 security Torx bolts (T27) from the fuel injection controller and gently prise the two halves apart with a flat blade screwdriver to break the rubber glue seal. Then simply lever out the EPROM with a small screwdriver and replace with the new chip. Total time less than 30 minutes."

Theres a trade off between performance and fuel economy.

I fitted one of the BB chips to my 1100. The bike was smoother and more tractable but the tank range went from a consistent 200 miles to the tank full to between 140 - 160 miles. ..Depends whats important to you

good luck with doing it in 30 minutes.

it's not a terribly hard job, but it took me that long just to get the ECU case apart.

As well as a screw driver, careful use of a scalpel (or modeling knife) should do it... oh and get yourself a tube of clear silicone mastic to help seal it back together.

It really is a simple job Stuart if you take your time.

Better get this ready again;) . . . .
