Anyone tried Zega panniers to fit system mounts?

Saw a set of these for sale and was curious if they were as sturdy as the Touratech mounting ones. They are 41 litre each side which makes them back end of bus width. Any thoughts?

I have seen them fitted on an 1150 and heard comments from people who have them.

My advice: don't do it, go for the real thing. Much more stable & solid and narrower.

Cheers,
Michel

i know someone who has them. when loaded they move inwards, a simple distance piece had to be made & fitted across the back.

work fine now.

These are offical Touratech Zega Street Version. They are made to be mounted on stock pannier rails. More comfortable, but much more fragile system.

I've heard stories from people who had this system that the plastic pannier rail wears through very quickly due to vibration. So yes, it's fragile.

Maybe !

I have sold several sets of these in the past and had no complaints.
They are the same box as the other T/T products , but you do get the
street version with an exhaust cut out, which is narrower.
As for usage its all down to what you are intending using them for
most certaintly NOT as strong as some of the other panniers on the Market
would hate to think what would happen in a fall , even a slow one.
CIVIL SAYS : At the very least buy the set with the Exhaust cut out, they are
infinately more resaleable.
If i were you i would look at some of the other systems , and then decide.
