My Old Dear is having to see her sister for New Year, so I'm on free :beerjug: between 30th December and 2nd January if anyone fancies a dawdle around North Wales.

I'm at a party on the Lleyn on the 29th ... overnight option has been ticked so can't get out too early on the 30th (get home, get bike, ride over etc ...). However, may stay sober and come back that evening.
Meteo looks good though ....

I checked the weather forecast and Sunday does look best, what about a late morning start and then stop for lunch. Or take the bike to the party and meet up somewhere near Tremadog for lunch then a ride out? Your call:thumb

Why can't the North Wales Tossers and the South Wales Tossers Meet up n the middle somewhere mutual:nenau It would be nice to see yall:augie and then it may even start a trend:thumb Seeing as it's Christmas and all. Can't open last years route on Mapsource as my shiney new laptop has yet to be graced with the Mapource info(can't find the 25 digit code:blast) so don't know if the idea will work or not:thumb

Stopover was going to be a tent in someone's garden! Don't fancy carrying all the gear on the bike just yet!! I'll stay sober - not a bad thing at present :(
I was thinking of either pete's Eats in Llanberis or the Cafe by the Station at Betws y Coed ... your choice of times. Maybe head south and meet Allan and / or the South Wales Tossers for a late lunch? I know the back way from Bala to Vrnwy (by mountain bike!)

Notice you still like getting up early

A tent in December:bow:eek:

Probably easier for you to come down the A5 and me the A470 to Betws y Coed and then set off from there down towards Blaeneau and see where we end up. What time can you get to Betws for?

Trang/Dave,

Following on from Allan's comments how about a weekend get together in the Spring/Summer camping/bunk house accom with pub attached.

Could even do a 2 centre theme, camp day one in the North and finish day 2 in the South or vice-versa.

PW

Paul,
I don't usually do CAMP :eek::eek:, but if ewe tell me where to buy all the gear i will give it ago, it sounds as if it could be a good weekend:augie As long as I'm not first in the barrel this time:D:D

I was out & about in N.Wales this morning on my '2nd' bike.
(seeing as I couldn't sell it here! :augie)
This global warming is great isn't it!

If you don't mind a H*nda joining in I'd volunteer to be ride-out photographer.

You have a flagrant disregard for authourity.

Of course your welcome.:D

Definately up for something!
Had a good run with Dave today - he was kind enough to wait for me ... but I wouldn't mind a camping trip / bunkhouse one weekend.
I've got a knackered foot at present so the usual long mountain trips are out; I'd like to get back to the Dolomites this summer (mid July) so a bit of practice with a range of kit on the beast would be good.
I'm still about for a few days (external door to fit tomorrow as the weather looks reasonable) - so if anyone fancies towing an anchor I'd be up for a run Monday 31 / Tues 1st ... maybe Wednesday 2nd.
Good 'ere innit!

I'm back in work on Wednesday (Airbus, Broughton) but I'm free Mon + Tues.
I'm up for a run if it's as warm as these last few days have been if only to see what the locals can show me.

It was a good run. really enjoyed it:D

As for waiting, it's not the pace that makes a good run out, it's the company,
:beerjug: definitely do it again,
don't think it will be the Dolomites though, :( baby number 2 should appear in May/June :D:D. Might be able to make an overnighter before then.

Have fun with your door :thumb

Nice to have another focus innit. ;) :thumb

Going to get you a couple of housebricks this week... :thumb
Wish I'd remembered to bring the camera - doesn't really do justice using the phone
