iDump is an unfortunately named program which claims to be able to copy all the contents of your ipod into iTunes. Anyone used it or anything like it?
Reason I ask is that over the years My Music folder and files have moved from PC to PC and disc to disc and now I've got loads of exclamation marks beside songs which means that iTunes is all confused and can't locate those tracks any longer. What I'm thinking of doing (after a backup!) is wiping my iTunes library entirely and then using iDump to fill iTunes again by copying the contents of my iPod across because I'm confident that my iPod has my entire library on it.

Any comments? :nenau

What do you mean unfortunate name? It's particularly apt, given your taste and music collection. My advice is dump the PC and iPod and start all over again. Fancy a pint to discuss the merits of such a plan? :beerjug:

A friend of mine says the software is a piece of iCrap.

He also said something along the lines of sijohnston......

I've used copypod to get the tracks off my ipod - I think it's 20USD. It's also handy should you want to get music of somebody elses iPod :augie
