Anyone using a TomTom 400 on an LC GS/ GSA?

If so, how did you power it? Someone mentioned the need for a seperate switch, but that seems rather odd.
 
I have a Rider 400 connected to the socket that BMW has prepared for their GPS. It is located in right side behind the turn signal. I bought the corresponding male socket from www.hornig.de. No fuss and have been using the gps for over a year. No problem with the canbus. The socket automatic powers off after a couple of minutes after ignition is turned off.

Exactly as above (except for the hornig bit :D), no problems doing this on both GSs I've had.
