Bit of a long shot, but would be interested in people's opinions on it, why you chose it, why you stopped using it, why you love it - that sort of thing.

I know what it does (in theory) so I'm more interested in your experience of it / other similar solutions that you've used.

Hard drive cloning software?

Never used it myself, but as for an alternative Clonezilla is my go to :thumb2

Backup, EDR,MDR,XDR,RMM, attack surface management, DR... all using a single endpoint agent and management interface.

Quite a clever thing on paper.
That does sound interesting actually. I might look into it at some point, I do like learning about new products

I've been using Acronis True Image for about 20 years or more. Initially for making disk Images every now and then which I used as backups, but for the last 10 years I've been using it for taking automated weekly, incremental, backups. It is relatively easy to use, I just set it up to back up my NAS, plus a couple of other drives, and forget about it. It has saved my bacon a few times when either I, or my wife, have accidently deleted files.

I first got it free with PC Plus (long since gone), and a few years later, when Acronis had an offer on, I bought a licence. I updated it every few years, but then they stopped offering updates for licenced copies, trying to get users on to annual subscriptions instead. I was not having this, and as my latest version was working well, I just stuck with it. Then last year, out of the blue, they offered an updated at a reasonable price to licenced users, so I'm now up to date again.

Acronis was the default cloning software used by Siemens it the medical field.
We used to use it for cloning the drives when doing a PC swap out on medical scanners. It was the only software approved by the MHRA
