That is an interesting question - because I was going to say Pro-Safe with no if's or but's.
The Maverick jeans were, I believe, the predecessor to a style called Black Denim and later New Denim, so I assume the armour would be the same. According to my sources the hip armour for both the Denim suits is Pro-Safe and the knees are a material called "Absorber".
The part numbers for the Black Denim Hip Armour are 72607667331 and for the Knee Armour 72607652833.
Kate at Hideout Leathers had a look at me giving a "twirl" in my best "model" pose and pronounced the fit of the protectors around the knees as being too loose, giving little protection in the event of an accident. Applying her racer-level standards, she persuaded me buy a pair of Harvarssons strap-on knee protectors, which I find quite comfortable.
I asked BMW why they stopped making the Inotex material used in the Maverick and Denim Jeans - apparently it was too expensive. The Denim jeans were £215 back in 2003.
Hope this helps.....
