The new ‘Big RFT screen’ 1250 RT has the cubbyhole for a phone, linked to the navigation system.

Question: Does your iPhone 13 charge whilst it sits in the cubbyhole?

Thank you.

Is the cubby hole designed to take anything bigger than a Nokia 3310 ?

Was a genuine question as most manufacturers seem to think we all have tiny phones .
My iPhone only just fits in 1290 cubby hole and I see that virtually no phone will fit in the latest Multistrada cubby jobby.

Have a search on the bmwlt.com I seem to remember this has been discussed previously. Think you have to turn the phone the other way around. but not sure :)

It makes no difference (in the cradle at least) which way the phone is orientated.

It might in the RT?

PS On your prompting I Googled up ‘bmwlt.com’ to read:

BMW Luxury Touring Community….

I guess their members will be very familiar with the Cashel Palace and their pricing of a tea with a single scone, accustomed as they are to luxury?

It does in the RT apparently, some have rotated it differently and it then starts to charge. But I can't remember the details. Our 21 bike doesn't have the charging pocket as its a basic model so haven't bothered to investigate
