HI ALL.
I purchase crashed 1100rt as project year back ,bike arrived disassembled, needed complete front end. Any way most job done now but small stuff like routing cables and some small bits still left to do. So wonder anyone around Dublin aria with 1100rt could meet up and let me have look and take some pictures if possible .

RT Cable routing

Hello again Val, I just emailed you this link - but posted it here also just in case

Mine is a 95' RT and the throttle cable is different from all other years in that one cable comes from the twist grip - down along the right of the headstock inside the brake hoses - is routed over the top of the alternator and a crossover cable then goes from the left throttle body to the right via under the ABS unit. Yours is probably the cable with the splitter, in which case i'd run the left over the alternator and the right directly on to the throttle body. Check my other album (99' BMW R1100RT). Clutch cable goes through the chrome wire hoop on the front of the top yoke and then down the right side of the headstock to the gearbox. Choke goes through the hoop and directly down the left side (cabletied in photo) and onto the throttle body. I'm not sure if this routing is "factory" spec - but it's the way it came and it works. http://s1109.photobucket.com/user/se...0BMW R1100RT
Get back to me if you need more. I also have a full set of plastics (colour code 703), air ducts for oil cooler, headlight, screen, seats and front wishbone if you need any bits.

Nice one Nick had look , yeah that interesting seems to me your main throttle cable comes from left side, throttle box unde ABS unit only go's in one way so year probably totally different . Just tells you can't relay on Fitch files or manual , according to my chassis numbe brass screw on throttle bodies 7 mm but my 9 mm go figure . Many thanks for that .
